The Motherhood - Annie Moffit - The prayer shaw
I attended my Mothers church in Spencer one Sunday... Grace United Methodist Church.  I was asked by their Pastor  to talk to the congregation about the group I had started called the Motherhood. I was more than happy to spread the word of our group .  "This is a passion  in my heart to do Gods will "... is how I started.... and I captured their hearts with my stories. I am not use to talking to a big group but I know that God put the words in my mouth because they gave me a standing ovation.  After church a group of ladies presented me with a prayer shawl.. I wept in front of all those who were watching me that day... total strangers but we all had one thing in common.. the love of Jesus.  I met the woman who made this shawl and she told me she prayed with every stitch.... so when I lay this around our Forest Ridge girls shoulders I remind them of all the hours of prayer that was  put into this shawl. A sense of belonging comes over them.. a peace of being.  The Love of Jesus.  A special thank you to the ladies of Grace United Methodist  Church in Spencer.  And to my Mom who took me to church with her that day.
