Both Hands Project - Orphans and Widows

Crossroads has sponsored with a group called "Both Hands Foundation".  Their mission statement is:

Both Hands Mission Statement

Our mission is to bring comfort to widows in the form of home repairs and landscaping while partnering with other non-profit organizations to bring aid to orphans.

Crossroads has put into action what the bible instructs about helping those in our care. Below are some current projects that have already happened.  We plan on doing more and bringing help and encouragment to those God has put in our care.

On July 9 and 10th, 2010, Many willing workers came together at Clara Van Laar's home. Last year she broke her ankle coming out of her porch that was in bad shape. Through the two days her porch and surrounding area was re-worked and made new again. Many volunteers gave of thier time, talent and supplies.  Gravel was donated and through equipment and help donated from John Semrad's Construction, a new safer area was made for Clara.

On July 14, 2010 willing workers got together to make diapers out of donated t-shirts. Many sewing machines, sizors, thread, time and talent came together to make a very unique gift for an orphanage in Ethiopia. T-shirts were cut apart and put on an assembly line with the outcome of over 100 diapers in 3 hours.

Support the Olson's Adoption

When anyone buys a shirt from www.WildOliveTees.com the company will give $10 to the Olson's Adoption fund. Pastor Jason and Kris and their family have welcomed Millie and Aby to thier family from Ethiopia this year.

Please use the code olson0507 when ordering.

Below is some information on the company and program:

Wild Olive adoption tees have been created as a means to help families fundraise for their impending adoption. Our goal is to partner with adoptive families to help them gain support from friends and family to offset the cost of their adoption, and in turn, help bring children home to their forever families!

These tees are available to anyone for purchase. However, if you have been given a FAMILY CODE by family or friends as a way to help support their fundraising efforts, please enter it during checkout in BOTH the “Enter Coupon” field (by clicking the "Enter Coupon" button on the left inside your cart), as well as the Comments section. This way, the family you are supporting is properly credited for your purchase. The family code must be entered to ensure that the funds go to the correct family.

Please note: the FAMILY CODE will not reduce the price of the tee; it will simply ensure that the proper family receives the funds from your purchase.
